Fan girl squeel!!!
So this week at the San Diego Comic con, the director of New Moon released some new footage of the movie. I felt the absolute need to share with the class.
I apologize for the crummy quality of the hand held camera and the thousands of teenage girls screeching but I will overlook it for the awesomeness that will be this movie. November 21st can't get here quick enough!!
Oh Mylanta!!!!

But this one is better
Ok I know I already put up the New moon trailer, but this one is fan made and frankly better than the one the pros did. So there you go.
Did I mention I can hardly contain myself for this dumb movie?

Easter
Edward then took said eggs and helped me make deviled eggs. Because really, what else are you going to do with 2 dozen stained hard boiled eggs?It was really nice of him.
Then we did the standard church service and off to my in laws.
We did our Easter feast and egg hunt (which had to be inside this year as it was a downpour outside)
Then because my very reason to live is to drive my kids insane. (Hey, turnabout is fair play) So Bug is getting really annoyed that mini Edward seems to suddenly pop up at any given time.(mostly because I keep him on me at all times) So I like to have a little fun and torment him.
We hid his eggs like usual, but I threw this in just for my own amusement.
I put him on the mantle next to other eggs. So while he was looking for other eggs, he stumbled on to Edward here. You are in luck because we even got our little piece of torment on video. What is funny is we just edited down this video, but he had been searching for like 5 minutes. So he was in total search mode. We thought it was pretty funny though :)

Let's get this song on New moon!
So I have this friend that is an incredible musician and has a unique chance to do something awesome. My friend Kristin has written and recorded a song that has a good chance of being on the New Moon soundtrack. I am asking all of my readers to do something huge for her. Listen to the song and comment on the youtube comment area. The full story is right here as written on her own blog http://coppeefamily.blogspot.com/2009/04/my-new-campaign.html.
Here is the video here. Just tell her what you think in the youtube comments.
This is what she sent to me....
On another note - HOLY CRAP, JAX! Thank you for promoting me! The song is not for sale at the moment since I'm trying to get it on New Moon. For now I just need as many people as possible to log onto youtube.com, look up The Mending Seed, watch the video and rate it. Leaving comments is good too. It's part of my campaign for when I approach Summit.
In other exciting news - my cousin heard it, loved it and told me his wife's aunt is best friends with Stephenie Meyer. He said he was going to see the aunt at Easter and he was going to make her listen to the song in hopes that she would take it to Stephenie because if Stephenie likes it, she can get Summit to listen to it. ANYWAY, I haven't heard back. I need to email him and let him know that keeping me waiting is not a good idea. LOL. I'm dying here!
Also, the CEO of BMI records in Nashville has heard it and apparently really likes it and says HE has connections to get it into New Moon. Again - still waiting to hear back. (SIGH)
Thanks, again, for your support! It means so much to me! I'm really touched. Thank you!
So lets get in there and make this happen!

Twilight party
So on Saturday I went out to my friend Shanna's house in St Helens for a big Twilight party she had. She being a fellow sister in obsession with the saga, she was awesome and opened up her house and we got to watch the movie, eat Twilight themed food and we also went on a tour of the town which as you may know (if you are my real friend and read my blog religiously which in my mind you all do) St Helens is where they filmed the majority of the movie. Molly and I went out there a couple months ago and I even put up a post about it here.
But this time I had Edward with me to re-enact some of his scenes. I am fairly certain that not only the girls that were with my group thought I may be out of my mind. And if they didn't, then the townsfolk did. But like any good blogger, I had to share my experiences with the world.
So enjoy!
Edward outside the bookstore.
Edward scaring off potential rapists. Isn't he intimidating? He's growling on the inside.

It has happened
It has finally happened. It took longer than I expected it to, but here it is. I have finally lost my ever loving mind. I have been fighting the urge to join the bandwagon in purchasing every Twilight related thing I could get my hand on. I have been doing rather well in that I have bought nothing but the books. I figured Stephanie Meyer has made enough money off of me. Today I realized that I can't fight this feeling anymore. I've forgotten what I started fighting for. (sorry)
So I bring you my new BFF. My very own mini Edward doll.
Then I started having fun with him.
This is Edward raising the roof.
This is Edward snorkeling.
On a roller coaster
On a sunset beach,
You get the idea.
Seriously, I have a problem. There should be a 12 step program for my brand of crazy.

Twilight dvd release party
So last night was the big Twilight dvd release party. The Dvd was going to be released for sale at midnight and we had been following along on the news that people started lining up at 3 in the afternoon to secure their purchase. I mean I know I have a serious problem but there are some super freaky Twilight fans out there. I hate to speak ill of my brethren and all, but wow.
We have been scouting out where we were going to go as there were many options . But we (my friends and I) settled on the Wood Village Walmart. A couple of the actors from the movie were going to be there and signing autographs.
These people here....
The waitress from the Carver cafe.
The little girl that played "young Bella" in the home video in the ballet studio.
And best of all 2 of the guys from the wolf pack/Quillute tribe.
So my friends Molly, Erin and I set out for our hot night on the town.
We got to the Walmart around 9. There was already a line and a lot of buzz in the store. Now nothing was happening until midnight. But already the place was packed. So we went through these giant cattle fence to keep the peace I guess. By the way, it should be noted that all this took place in the garden center which is in fact outside. Once we got in position we had nothing to do but wait in anticipation. My pictures didn't really turn out very well, but this was our view for over 2 hours.
Not all that exciting although it was mostly teenage girls and their mothers. So if one of them got over excited they would just start screaming and because dumb celebrity fever catches like wildfire with this demographic, if one starts screaming, they all start screaming (half the time they didn't even know what they were screaming about) It was a pretty funny sociology study.
We discovered that they were herding everyone in to the signing area in groups of 40. Also that the "celebrities" were leaving at midnight. We found this out 2 hours into waiting in line. We had a good 500 people in front of us and an hour left. There was no way that we would make it in. So we jumped ship and just went into the store to wait until the strike of midnight when we could just buy the dvd and get home.
Once inside we realized that they were set up in the middle of the store and we could see what was going on, we just couldn't get anything signed. We were all fine with that. So I got as close as I could to get a couple pictures. Again, they weren't the best but I was not really allowed to stop to take a picture they made us keep moving at all times. You would think that Elvis was in the building. It was sort of silly. I mean it's not like it was Rob Pattinson or anything it was not even the secondary characters. It was more like the 5th string of actors. But they got an extention of their 15 minutes of fame and felt like total rockstars for the night. Even though it was in a Gresham area Walmart.
Anyhow, these are the pictures that I got inside.
This is the table that they would be sitting at. Exciting no?
This is the nutty fans getting all their crap signed. I could barely get close enough to take a picture so all you really see it the fans.
This is the best I could do. The rest were so blurry that you couldn't even see who it was.
Thats right, if you look closely, it is in fact a Twilight cake. Sure, why not.
Then the clock struck Midnight and the cashiers got flooded with the masses. The poor cashiers looked truly terrified. I guess I would be too if I looked out to a sea of crazed lunatics knowing there may not be enough Dvds for everyone. But it all worked out in the end. I made it through the line and had a big happy ending
.
Yay!!

Gasp!!!!
Only 2 more days!! I can hardly contain myself!!
In case you live under a rock, the Twilight DVD comes out in 2 days.
Here's my own private reason to live. A deleted scene from the bonus disc. I am most excited for the behind the scenes stuff and the commentary. Why you may ask, because I am a giant Twerd!
My friends and I are going to go to a midnight release party and battle it out amongst the glittered up teenagers. Can't hardly wait!! Don't worry, there will be pictures.

It's almost here!!!
Ok I know I am a big fat dork, but I am practically vibrating in my seat because we only have 15 days left until the Twilight DVD comes out. I am already planning out which release party to go to. Why, because I am a big dork. (Aren't you paying attention?)
In the meantime, this made me laugh.
Mostly because if you have seen the original trailer as many times as I have, you would get the joke.
Quit trying to act cool, I know you have watched it over and over again too.

Twilight tour
So I know I haven't been talking about it as much, but I am in fact still completely obsessed with Twilight. The movie, the books, you name it. I have stopped being ashamed and have now embraced it. I know it's dumb. I know it's meant for teenagers. I'm over the shame.
So my friends Erin and Molly have come over to the dark side with me and have taken on a healthy addiction along with me. It's nice to know that I am not alone in my nerdyness.
So we were in luck as the movie was filmed right here in or around my hometown. So my friend Molly and I set out on a mission to find as many filming sites as we could. We spent the day yesterday driving all over the Willamette valley peeking in windows and trying to be nonchalant as we snapped pictures of obscure things.
So I give you now my Twilight tour and I will narrate what is what.
This is the main character, Bella's house.
This is me in front of Bella's house. Of course it isn't really Bella's house because Bella is a fictional character. But let me pretend. Apparently I am not the only freak show fan that has taken it a little too far....
Next stop on the tour is a bookstore that Bella visits in "Port Angeles".
This is the movie still of it.
This is my picture. It is really a law office or something.
Next, while Bella was in Port Angeles, she got herself into some trouble and got chased into a dark alley. Only to have Edward come and rescue her.
This is the alley used in the movie.
Not very scary in the light of day.
Ok next Bella visits a dress shop in Port Angeles.
This is really a salon, but it was made up as a dress shop.
This is the movie still.
If you could see past that truck, you would see the courthouse across the street as seen in the movie.
Like this picture here.
Ok, next, Bella and Edward had dinner at a restaurant called the Bloated toad. This is said restaurant although it is really an office building made up like a restaurant.
Next....we hop over to Washington. Kalama to be exact. The Kalama high school was the set for many scenes.
This is the movie still set up to look like "Forks" high school.
Then this is my picture. Not a lot of cinematic magic going on here. Although what could you really do?
And then there is the famous parking lot .
Here's where Edward was ( looking smoking hot) standing next to his car.
Ok then this is where Bella's truck was parked when the accident happened.
Exciting isn't it?
Ok..moving on.
Then we have the field behind the school that (in the movie) leads to the infamous meadow. This is the field that Edward follows Bella into the woods for the big confrontation scene.
Then we are moving on to the final scene of the movie when they go to Prom. The whole prom scene was held up at the View point inn up at crown point in the Gorge.
Then with the magic of movies and an awesome gazebo, here's what it looked like in the movie.
So there you have it. My awesome uuber geeky twilight tour. Hope you liked it. I had fun doing it.
